I earned my BA in art from San Francisco State University with sculpture being my area of emphasis. After college I was introduced to traditional blacksmithing, moved to Virginia and founded Rockfish Forge LLC. I focused my professional blacksmithing primarily on hardware and home furnishings and though this work was very rewarding in many ways, I yearned to re-establish an art practice free from utilitarian constraints. This yearning, combined with my experiences in Expressive Art Therapy, inspired me to pull out my drawing and painting supplies and develop a fine art studio practice. I have found the creative satisfaction I craved and look forward to my continued journey on this artistic path.
